The Spitfire might be one of the most celebrated and widely recognised planes in the world.
Roundly credited for helping Britain win the war, whether you follow that train of thought or the other perception that, whilst a great plane, it was actually the Hawker Hurricane if, for no other reason, then there were a lot more of them than Spitfires.
Regardless, the Spitfire is an iconic plane and when you see one coming out of the sky, dive-bombing you, it’s something to behold. From someone who has been lucky enough to experience that, trust me when I see it makes the hairs all over your body stand on end.
This new documentary, narrated by Charles Dance, aims to further celebrate this already widely celebrated aircraft.
