A woman’s brothers divide the family home based on advice from a Village Headman who says that traditionally, the right to inheritance belongs to male descendants only. As the eldest brother attempts to find her a husband, she refuses everyone and what he isn’t aware of is that she’s actually in a relationship with a woman.

More Raca wrote and directed this short which has been selected for Raindance. It’s based on a true story so it’s a little frustrating that you don’t actually find out what happened to the woman at the end. Just that she wants to run away given she has no-where else to go.

It’s beautifully directed though the story could have moved at a quicker pace and the resolution could have been more, well it could have actually had one.
