With his directorial debut, actor Jonah Hill (“The Lego Batman Movie“, “Sausage Party”) looks back on his skateboarding obsession, growing up in the 90’s, to create, Mid 90’s.

We’ve reviewed the film previously so won’t go into it again. However, this then may be the shortest review that we’ve ever done.

You see, the DVD comes with just two extras: commentary with director Jonah Hill and director of photography Christopher Blauvelt and a deleted scene titled “Music Plus”.

The deleted scene is where Stevie, Sunny Suljic (“The House With A Clock In Its Walls“, “The Killing Of Sacred Deer”), is in a record shop (ask your parents) buying a hip-hop CD (ask your parents).

And that’s it. The movie is still in the 4:3 format that Hill shot it in and has an almost grainy texture to it which is mostly likely the 16mm film used compare to modern digital methods.

There’s not a lot else to say. It’s an assured writing and directorial debut from Hill and I’m sure we’ll see more. Will he take-up a big-budget blockbuster or stick to the indie film as he’s created here?

We’re giving the film a 7 but the DVD gets just a 3.
