Legendary and Universal are bring the Blizzard Entertainment gaming phenomenon to the big screen which will apparently see the peaceful realm of Azeroth standing on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another.

Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond, K-PAX) and Jones are on writing duties with Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Paula Patton (Precious, MI Ghost Protocol), Ben Foster (3:10 To Yuma, Lone Survivor), Dominic Cooper (Captain America, Need for Speed), Toby Kebbell (Prince of Persia, Wrath of the Titans) starring.

As Jones is writing as well as directing this should have a lot more depth than most computer game movies we see. Hopefully it’s a hell of a lot better than the recent Hitman movie.
