Interview With Actor Sebastian Croft (“Horrible Histories: The Movie”)

You probably know him as Young Ned Stark in “Game of Thrones” or as Boy Familiar in “Penny Dreadful” but soon you will be able to see Sebastian Croft on the big screen.

He takes on the role as Atti in “Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans” from director Dominic Brigstocke. We had a little chat with Sebastian and talked about the film, his acting dream, and his idols.

Liselotte Vanophem: Hi Sebastian, how are you?

Sebastian Croft: I’m very good, thanks! You?

LV: I’m fine as well. Excited for the premiere of “Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans”?

SC: Totally. I saw the film the other day and I absolutely loved it! People tonight can expect a lot of laughter, fun, a bit of education and a lot of good jokes.

LV: What was it for you that made you wanted to become part of the film (and television) industry?

SC: Well, I’ve always known that that was what I wanted to do. I started in theatre and it progressed from there really. I just try my harder to stay in the business.

LV: What was your first production then?

SC: My first play was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and then I did some roles on the West End such as playing Oliver in “Oliver” and I was also in Mathilda. I was very lucky after that to have been able to move into the film industry cause I just love the acting side of it.

LV: So we’re never going to see you sitting in the director’s chair?

SC: I’m not quite sure about that. Never say never.

LV: If there’s one big actor/actor you want to act within a film, who would it be?

SC: My current one would be Michael Caine because I just finished reading his autobiography and he’s just my absolute hero! One a little bit closer to my age would be Timothée Chalamet who’s amazing in “Lady Bird” and “Call Me By Your Name”.

LV: You’re probably looking forward to his next film (“Little Women”) then?

SC: Oh yes, big time!
